Henry Sorensen has been involved in testing and managing testing programs for over 20 years. Through his career, his customer base has included contracts for cosmetology, security, collections and funeral industries, but construction testing has always been the core. In fact, during his time with Experior, he oversaw contracts for 85% of the construction testing market.
In 2004, Dr. Sorensen founded Prov. Through years in the industry, he identified a long list of ways testing clients were underserved. He set upon developing program specifications and systems software to manage these needs. Construction industry clients universally applaud his vision and management, making Prov one of the strongest names in testing.
Dr. Sorensen has a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and a Master’s in Business Administration.
Ken Davis has an extensive background in testing. As a programmer and systems administrator with Block & Associates, he was responsible for building the data management systems for both test development and administration.
Mr. Davis programmed the Block information system to interface with a third-party Interactive Voice Response system, effectively reducing the time required for candidates to obtain results. Additionally, he developed an online score reporting system, a contractor registry using a credit-card terminal for database access and a bar-code system used to track the status of in-progress testing materials.
As Prov’s Information Technology Director since 2004, Mr. Davis leverages his wealth of experience to benefit our clients. He has a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida.
Paul Naylor began his testing career working with Hoffman Research in North Carolina nearly 20 years ago. Dr. Naylor has worked with the team members at Prov individually since 1995 when he joined National Assessment Institute and later Experior.
Dr. Naylor serves on the evaluation committee for the National Organization for Competency Assurance and the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). His role is evaluating the psychometric aspects of programs seeking NCCA accreditation.
As a psychometric consultant, Dr. Naylor conducts most of Prov’s test development workshops and facilitates online reviews of pilot testing results. He also meets with Prov clients to discuss alternative methods of test development and administration.
Tana Thomas began her testing career as office manager with Block & Associates in 1973 and continued with that firm, and subsequently Experior/Capstar, until joining Prov in 2004.
While at Block and Experior, Ms. Thomas served primarily in a leadership management role. Her responsibilities included management of testing facilities, proctors, candidate processing, scoring, test development support staff, shipping and results reporting. Ms. Thomas oversaw 45 staff performing all facets of the testing process.
Ms. Thomas later became involved as the local project director for the Florida CNA program. Duties included customer interaction, contract compliance and conveying customer concerns to the headquarters administrator. She was also responsible for site selection, proctor selection and so forth.
As Prov’s Operations Director, Ms. Thomas works closely with all facets of our testing programs including guiding client communications and ensuring overall satisfaction.
